澳博体育app下载 Logistics Expands its Mexico Coverage
New subsidiary offers more cross-border and intra-Mexico services to support increasing trade volumes

For 38 years, 澳博体育app下载 Logistics has been recognized as a quality provider of intermodal and highway transportation in the U.S. and parts of Canada. What is less known is that for more than 20 years, it has operated an expedited stacktrain service to and from Mexico.
澳博体育app下载 Logistics is now positioned as one of the largest intermodal marketing companies (IMC) providing cross-border and domestic rail services. Each week, 澳博体育app下载 Logistics’ 53-foot intermodal containers are a common sight on the Mexican rail, serving customer locations far into the U.S. and Canada.
Domestic Mexico and cross-border shipments have experienced significant growth over the last several years as the global trend toward “near-shore” manufacturing activities has increased. Mexico is now the largest trading partner with the United States, with approximately $800 billion in bilateral trade in 2023. And cross-border and intra-Mexico transportation services are among the fastest-growing segments in the global supply chain. Commonly shipped products include automotive parts and supplies, food and beverages, home appliances (white goods), and consumer electronics.
All major North American railroads now offer a range of rail services and more locations, both within Mexico and cross-border points in California and Texas. For many customers, a rail solution is ideal as their products are “pre-cleared” by U.S. Customs and don’t have to be stopped at the border for inspection. In addition, the rail service reduces CO2 emissions, improving customers’ sustainability goals compared to other modes of transportation.
Customers have been very receptive to the rail service, which helps them better manage their environmental footprint. According to the American Association of Railroads, freight rail is the most fuel-efficient way to move goods over land. One train can move nearly 500 tons on one gallon of fuel while removing hundreds of trucks off the highways.
As an alternative to rail service, 澳博体育app下载 Logistics provides a robust network of qualified domestic and cross-border over-the-road carriers. The speed and flexibility of its over-the-road network allows creative customer solutions for different modes of transport, including; dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, over-dimensional, and less-than-truckload (LTL).
“To expand our footprint further and faster in Mexico, we recently established a new subsidiary called 澳博体育app下载 Logistics Mexico,” said Keith Crenshaw, vice president of transportation. “It is strategically located in Monterrey, a major commercial and industrial metro area.”
The office is led by Adriana Muñoz, general director of Mexico. She has been busy developing new business opportunities, building supplier relationships, and promoting the 澳博体育app下载 Logistics brand in Mexico.
“I am thrilled to be part of 澳博体育app下载 Logistics expansion in Mexico, and I am working closely with longtime general agent Enrique Leal and Mario Martinez, who has been our partner for more than a decade,” Muñoz said. “With the structure of our new subsidiary, we can now offer highway and rail services within Mexico, further solidifying our position as a market leader and growing our customer base.
“Our goal is to deliver the same top-tier service that has earned us recognition in 2024 as the number one intermodal rail service provider in the United States with the Quest for Quality Award,” Muñoz added.
Major ocean ports are another area of growth in Mexico. Manzanillo, Mexico’s largest Pacific coast container port, is now the fifth-largest port in North America when measured by volume. And further south, Lazaro Cardenas is ranked 11th.
“A challenge at the industry level is the congestion in the main ports within Mexico. We are developing logistics solutions to expedite the arrival of goods from Asia to Mexico,” said Josh Seifert, assistant vice president of brokerage services, who oversees the Mexico business operations. “Additionally, we are putting together solutions for goods that arrive at Mexican ports and have their final destination within Mexico, the U.S., and Canada. We can manage the shipment from port to destination through customs, any needed storage, and multimodal transportation services.
“澳博体育app下载 Logistics has solidified its position as a leading transportation company in Mexico and a trusted partner for many customers. The new subsidiary enables us to provide more comprehensive services, further differentiating and expanding our position in the market,” Seifert added.
